TIEMEIER STUDIOS

Don & Patt Tiemeier are portrait artists who have lived in St Louis, Missouri for the past 17 years. Previous “hometowns” have included Indianapolis, Indiana, Rochester, New York, the suburbs on both the Virginia & Maryland sides of Washington, DC, and even a two year stint in Rome, Italy.

We both have taught art for many years while creating our own art work. Recently, Don left full-time teaching to become a full-time artist/photographer! Don has been the Official Portrait Artist for the Miss Missouri USA Pageant since 2003, and worked in graphic design during the 1980’s & 90’s.

We love visual and performing art of all kinds, antiques, old houses (we’ve owned & restored two 100+ year-old homes!), animals, but most all, PEOPLE of all shapes, sizes, ethnicity, and generations!!

As you will see by following the links in this website, most of our work focuses on portraying the beauty and unique personalities of real “living beings”, whether they be 2 or 4 legged!

Classic Portraits have become our specialty - whether we do OIL PORTRAITS, CHARCOAL PORTRAITS, PENCIL PORTRAITS, FABRIC PORTRAITS, OR PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAITS.

Since we have family living in Indianapolis, Indiana; Boston, Massachusetts; Baltimore, Maryland; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Charlottesville, Virginia; Clearwater, Florida; and Santa Cruz, California, and friends in MANY other towns & cities, we are prepared to travel for our portrait commissions!
